OET for UK:- A must or an Option!!!
Most of the Nurses these days believe OET to be an absolute for their journey to UK. Most of them move into taking the expensive classes and examination that collectively cost NRs 80,000. And good lord if you can’t achieve the desired score in one attempt!!!
Not everyone can pay that big sum just for an English test, and knowing that there is a much cheaper option with equal or even less difficulty level to achieve the desired score. But before I tell you what it is, let’s know a little about OET first.
What is OET?
OET (Occupational English Test) is an ENGISH LANGUAGE TEST for healthcare professionals recognized by various regulatory healthcare bodies. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. OET is available for the following 12 professions including doctors and nurses.
As mentioned above OET is an English Language Test. Especially designed for health professionals with medical related language testing question. There are various English Language Test that can be used in exception to OET. One of the most widely acceptable test is IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
So, which one is better for us as a Nurse working towards UK ????

Time:- 45 mins The task is to write a letter, usually a referral letter. Sometimes, especially for some professions, a different type of letter is required: e.g. a letter of transfer or discharge, or a letter to advise or inform a patient, carer, or group. |
