Which English language to choose as a Nurse?

Either you are going to USA or Australia or even Canada, You might have come across various options for English Tests. Variety of options can be overwhelming. So let us simplify this for you.

Before choosing any of the English test, Let’s discuss which of the English test are accepted by organization like CGFNs and Josef Silny. As of august 21 2022, CGFNS and Josef Silny will accept passing, non-expired scores from the following English Exams for the purposes of Visa Screening:

  • IELTS
  • TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test)
  • Cambridge Assessment English
  • TOEFL PBT (Paper-Delivered Test)
  • TOEIC
  • Michigan English Test (MET)
  • Occupational English Test (OET)
  • Pearson Academic Test (PTE)

 

Among these options IELTS, OET and PTE are most popular among Nepalese Nurses for NCLEX.

Some of our nurses are fairly fine with it and go for less widely accepted test like PTE and OET. But some do not like to keep their options limited and go for widely known accepted language test like IELTS.
